Day One in Orlando – Time To Watch The Cubs!

Of course there’s more to the first day in Orlando, but for this Cubs fan, it’s been finding a TV with Cubs fans around it!

We arrived today and after a short drive to our home away from home at the Rosen Plaza, we decided to go ahead and get all registered before hitting the ground running in the morning. Here’s a tip: registration is ALLLL the way towards the end of the West Concourse. Look for WB2/3 and that’s where it is. There are a lot of great volunteers to help guide you along.

Make sure you download the Conference App from the Apple store or the Android store, and log in with the username you used to create your schedule online and you’re good to go. There is a LOT of important information there – it’s going to be your best friend this week.

Just a couple of tips so far:

Ladies – PLEASE take my word for it – comfortable shoes. Leave the heels in the room. You are going to be walking a ton, maybe more than last year in San Diego. Grab those sandals and you’ll be good to go.

Humidity is not your friend so make sure you keep yourself hydrated. As a desert girl, this is a no-brainer for me, but if you feel yourself feeling a little sluggish, get some water. Please.

Tomorrow, Thursday, starts the fun with the Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Build Day. I’ve not had a chance to go to one of these, but do have some Arizona REALTOR® friends are heading over. I’ll make sure to get an update from a couple of them.

One of the other important events that starts tomorrow is the RPAC Phone A Friend Phone Bank which is going on from 9am to 5pm. Check your conference app to sign up for a time to call all of your friends back home.

Keep your eyes peeled for all of your NAR Conference Live bloggers – we’ll be sporting badges and we’d all love to chat with you. Don’t be shy, come up, say hello, and let us know what you’re up to in Orlando!

Until later – Welcome to Orlando!

And Go Cubs Go!
