Women’s Council of REALTORS® pulled no punches in producing a heavy hitting lineup of experts to help you knock out the competition this morning. We now have what it takes to be The Ultimate REALTOR®!
Rosalyn Wesley started us off speaking on Ultimate Leadership. There are three simple steps to ultimate leadership: Centering Ourselves, Recognizing the People we Meet, and Creating Space for Everyone. Some of my biggest takeaways from Rosalyn were when she talked about centering ourself. Is your time spent or utilized? There are 168 hours/week, 8,736 hours/year, and 436,800 hours if you are 50 years old. You have to center yourself every day to make your mind up that you are going to do the things that make you happy. I’m going to focus on how to make each day exciting and get off autopilot!
Gabrielle Jeans spoke on the Art of Negotiation. Your success in life depends on your ability to negotiate! The keys to negotiations are to never let your offer die, leave your ego at home, and leave emotions at the door. It is most important to ask questions. Every time you make a statement, you open it up for debate. For example, “It’s cold in here” versus “Do you find it cold in here?” Look for ways to come together and not create a debate. Debates are win/lose. Negotiations are win/win.
Amber De La Garza spoke on The Secret Multiplier: TIME = MONEY. You’ve always heard that time is money, but it is not that simple. It’s how you invest your time and where you invest your time that multiples your money. There are four buckets for you to focus your time on in the real estate business. The four buckets are: Prospecting/Lead Generation, Sellers, Buyers and Other. Time is our most valuable asset. How are you going to invest your time so you can be more effective in multiplying your money? Your return on investment for each bucket is:
Other = 1x
Buyers = 3x
Sellers = 5x
Prospecting = 8x return on your investment
You have to make a choice on where you invest your time. Time x Productivity = Money.
Raziel Ungar wrapped up our session speaking on Being Local = Crushing It. You have one shot at building solid client relationships and differentiating yourself as the ultimate market leader in your community. In order to be the local expert you have to build your brand, be the community expert, and excel at client experiences. You are either the best in the world or you’re invisible.
To be the best you, you need:
A Wish Bone
A Back Bone
A Funny Bone
