Boston Marathon bombing survivor Heather Abbott speaks at the Sunday morning inspirational session. Abbott, who was hurled through the front of a nearby restaurant in the second bomb blast, faced a decision of whether to live with both legs but permanent disability and pain, or to have one of her legs amputated. Abbott opted for amputation, but vowing to return to her active lifestyle and, significantly, wearing high heels. After making a commitment to accepting what she could not change and paying forward the blessings she has enjoyed in the aftermath of a disaster, she has become a story of triumph and inspiration to other amputees.
