NAR Designation Updates

The Professional Development Committee, chaired by Dr. Danette O’Neal, met Saturday and reported on new and updated courses and educational events planned for 2017.

NAR’s Green designation has been completely revised and reorganized. There are now two courses in the curriculum, rather than the three units previously required. Foundations of Green will be taught on day one, and practical information taught on day two.

Katherine Kerpan, Manager of NAR’s Online Learning & Business Development reminded attendees that Code of Ethics training can be taken online at There are both CE and no cost versions on the website available to members. For states that accept the CE option, cost is $29.95 for three credit hours. All training is available under the Education tab, labeled Code of Ethics.

Also, 2016 is the 20th anniversary of the ABR® designation. Stop by the ABR® booth in the expo if you hold this designation already and they have leather business card holders available for you to pick up.

Note that for the month of November, NAR is offering a 20% discount for designation and certification courses, so buy your online courses right now!
